What are DL Points?
DL Points are a simple scoring mechanism that lets you compare one country against another, and one institution against another, on a single scale.
They are not a separate ranking or a sixth module. They are a way of turning ranking positions into a number you can add up and compare.
How the score works
Each ranking places 150 institutions. An institution’s DL Points come from where it sits on that 1–150 scale: the higher the position, the higher the score.

A country’s score is all of its institutions’ points added together.
And the other measures?
Talent density divides this total by a country’s population, asking who does most with what they have. Evolution compares the DL25 and DL26 editions.
THE NEXT 50
A spotlight on the institutions ranked 151st to 200th in the Global Ranking, completing the Digital Leaders Global Top 200.
Turning this on adds the Next 50 to the Institution view in orange, alongside the Top 150. The Next 50 are also assessed across Data & AI, Computer Science, Digital Transformation and Entrepreneurship, with some institutions ranking beyond the published Top 150 in these areas. However, the Next 50 feature only displays them in the Global Ranking Institution view.
